TATTOO REMOVAL
SAFE AND COMFORTABLE TATTOO & PERMANENT MAKE UP REMOVAL, GIVING YOUR SKIN A NEW LIFE

An Introduction to
TATTOO REMOVAL
The light from the laser targets ink and pigmentation and it is then metabolised and disposed away by your own body and your immune system. The Quanta Q Plus penetrates deeper than others, meaning you'll see results quicker, and more noticeable than other laser removal methods. You can get amazing results at Cornwall Laser Specialists with the Quanta machine and treatment with Kayleigh & her team, with years of experience and many very happy clients who have experienced the fantastic results offered in clinic. All tattoo removal procedures at our clinic are performed by our highly skilled and certified team, who have undergone extensive training in laser treatment. Kayleigh has completed six advanced training sessions since her initial certification in Canada, ensuring her knowledge is always up to date and her clients are consistently satisfied. We utilise the Quanta Q Plus C Evo, one of the premier laser machines available today. This machine features three wavelengths, allowing for safe and effective treatment of dark, cool, and warm pigments—something many other machines struggle with. We encourage prospective clients to research our equipment to appreciate its superior quality.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT TATTOO REMOVAL
During your consultation we will discuss your medical history and your laser specialist will make sure treatment is right for you. After your consultation you will be given a small test patch. You must then wait 7 days to ensure you are suitable for the treatment. Consultations cost £15 and our treatment rates start at £60.
Treatment duration depends on the size of the tattoo being treated. Treatment can be as short as a few minutes right up to 45 minutes. The cut off time for one treatment is 45 minutes due to your skin having to rest. We can also split up larger tattoos into multiple treatments to make the treatment more comfortable. Please note, large areas such as full arm sleeves will be split into at least 2 sessions, and each large session costs £155.
The treatment itself is a series of laser pulses that are fired rapidly next to each other in a pattern along the tattoo. The skin will frost which means it will turn white in colour. This is a normal initial reaction, and the frosting will go within 40 minutes.
You can expect to see any of the following post treatment reactions; Swelling, blood spots, bruising, redness, blistering and scabbing. We have some ointments we can recommend for this.
All clients are thoroughly ran through the healing process and instructed on how to look after the treatment area. It is important you follow your specialist's advice, and always contact the clinic if uncertain.
In short, it can be. Laser tattoo removal generates a heat reaction in the dermis. We recommend using numbing cream, starting the day before treatment, which should be applied as instructed and kept on until treatment to ensure effectiveness.
There are some important considerations and information you may need to share with us regarding your treatment;
- UV EXPOSURE: Be honest about recent tanning as it can impact treatment results and may lead to pigment loss.
- Medications: We may need to be made aware of medications that you are currently taking.
Results will be noticeable from your first treatment, but the number of treatments needed will be determined on factors such as the age, colour density and location on the body.
There are lots of things you can do to ensure a quick and safe healing process post treatment. This can include taking care in the sun, avoiding make up and creams, the clothing you wear, avoiding scratching and much more. Find our detailed aftercare advice on or new blog!
